Two things if the player wanted to hurt Petr cech why go in with your knee ( which could hurt yourself ) or your foot with studs showing, secondly Petr cech movement meant that he was moving towards the player.

It was not intentional, but it surely was not purely accidental. In those situations, before you lunge at the ball you subconciously tell yourself that there is a 50/50 chance of collision. this is the point where all sane persons pull away and avoid any type of injury. Unfortunately this bloke did not, and now cech is out for probably the season.

No
When you watch soccer you notice that strikers are always careful around the golie, trying to avoid contact, but Hunt did not even budge when he ran at Cech and hit him at full force and did not seem sorry for his offence that can end one of the best potential careere ever. The fact that no effort was put in to avoid him makes me think it was deliberate. Other players such as Drogba say Hunt bloated around them and laughed, emphacising the deliberacy.

yes, i do. what a cruel thing if it's not an accident.
i mean it's a football game where sometimes you can control every move, you just focused to the ball and ignore the other...
And if i saw the video record abput that...he thought that he didn't hurt Cech that serious...it's just a contact but sady the contact happened on bad area...head. that's trouble...
I hope speed recovery for Cech, he's a great young goalie =)

The player himself (Stephen Hunt) has said that he didn't mean to go in on Cech the way he did, so we'll just have to take his word for it and say that it was an accident.

I think it was a total accident. With the exception of Roy Keane who has admitted going out to intentionally hurt a player and Ben Thatcher I do not think players have any intention of deliberately causing such horrific injuries to fellow players. Generally goalkeepers are very well protected by referees. In addition goalkeepers are no angels. How many times do you see goalkeepers coming out to catch a ball with their knees or feet raised which in itself could cause serious injury to opposing players.
