I do not think it is dead, but may faith has been restored a bit in the country. It will be nice to have a few checks and balances back in the government. Bush is dumb, buy even he has tough notice that what ever mandate he thought he was running around with is now gone. and this was a clear vote against him.

When a party fails to live up to and support the principles on which it was elected it will be rejected by the people it has betrayed. Conservatives failed to do what they promised to do if elected. The Liberals will suffer a similar fate if they fail to please the electorate and carry out their pledges.
