Neocons is a made up word anyway for a segment of conservatives that believe in taking an active roll in foreign affairs to encourage freedom and democracy. Interestingly the name is crafted to sound similar to "neo nazi" and has been painted by our national socialist press as a "bad thing". The R's ran a tough fight, but lost to a more astute political message presented by the Dems. Had Rove been paying attention, he would have seen the need to steer the Bush message to something akin to "I hear you". If six months ago Bush started making some changes ... such as changing out Rumsfield for another face - and finding a way for Chaney to exit gracefully and pull in new blood in the VP slot. The essential policy did not need to change, but some faces and some tactics did need to change t oconvince the public that they were heard. The fault lay with Bush and Rove - not because they were on the wrong path of policy, but because they were on the wrong path for the political realities. Limbaugh and Hannity and company are merely reflective voices that coalesce what their listeners feel and earn a good living at it. The National Socialist Press and its Democrat Axis will certainly have a field-day after this "Putsch". High taxes, increasing deficit, open borders and a flood of new Dem votes for 2008 assure us of a Clinton in the White House again. Bush gets no credit for his excellent economic performance to date and the next two years will now be controlled by Dems, yet blamed on Bush. The War in Iraq will gradually shift to Iraqi Control and in two years the US presence will be far lower than now -- but that was the direction it was headed anyway. The Dems will take credit for it since they just "slapped" Bush around in these mid-term elections. But the Iraq policies won't be changing much at all due to this election. Some faces may change, but the plan will stay on track. "Get out and leave Iraq in a stable position".
