Do I only pick one or can I choose all of the above?

None of the obove. I think many Americans are simply unhappy with the way things are going right now. It's a typical "throw the bums out" election. Democrats disagreed with the job Congress was doing and wanted a change. Republicans feel slighted because they haven't seen any changes, even after years of Republican control. Issues, such as abortion, welfare, and illegal immigration are still present. What the hell is the point of voting these people to Congress if they can't work on the issues conservatives care about??? Now, those of us who fought in Iraq (and, subsequently watched the media leave out all of the accomplishments we have made over there) are going to watch as the government gives up on us. I hope none of you have had friends die over there as I've had. All of this is now for naught.

The Republicans lost because there was no movement for them to get out and vote. Basically they don't care about the issues at hand and which way they go. Republicans only vote when they have to, where as liberals feel they have a cause all the time. Life's good in America and there's no reason to worry about the future. Despite what all these crazies will have you believe. Proof: we're all sitting around online debating politics on sweet computers, some of us probably enjoying our favorite snack. It could be much much worse.

My guess is because of Iraq. I think the voting public is pretty much aware that the Republicans don't have the monopoly on corruption and deficit spending, despite media attempts to make it appear so. No, I think the media's three years of misreporting the truth about Iraq has finally taken its toll.

The voters have decided we have lost in Iraq. The media has created that reality for the benefit of the Democrat Party.

Now we can get back to talking about healthcare and racial equality, and stop worrying about terrorists.

All of the above. It serves them right. The Lesbian GODDESS doesn't like ugly. Republicans got too cocky and arrogant. They thought that nobody was paying attention. They thought they can win over on their social conservative values by pushing the ban on same-sex marriage, abortion, and stem-cell research. And, let's not forget TERRORISM! Due to the number of straight guys that exist on Earth, terrorism just became a normal, everyday, passing thing we deal with on a regular basis. We already know that they ain't gonna go away. Well, the Islamofascist terrorists won't fade into the background either. At least, they got Bush to get all up into everybody else's business.

We have unending knowledge of all these matters and more but the main point is the power of the American people and their wish to halt the horror perpetuated by the present administration and at last once again speak out.

The misadventure in Iraq, pedophile scandal and other critical issues doomed the Republicans in losing the seats in Congress.
