I am a 24 year old single female.I have never had regular periods since my menarche started at 15.Sometimes,it came after 3-4 months. Some other time,it took as long as 7 months .I did seek medical help in my teenage age but was told it is not usually considered an abnormality in one's teens.I expected it to regularise with time but it did not.At 22,I sought medical help again, did some tests and my thyroid, sex hormones, insulin level was all normal. My doctor decided to place me on contraceptives. After taking the contraceptives,I started having my periods every other month.A year later,it went back to the initial trend of 3-4 months between a period. Please I am worried. What could the problem be?????

I don't think anything is wrong with you !I'm in my 30s and still have irregular periods ! One doctor said it will regularise after having kids the other one said I might have trouble having kids !
Well I have two healthy kids and as I said irregular periods !I kinda learned to live with it now ! If all your tests are normal shouldn't worry about ! Maybe when you have kids yours will be regular !!

well, make sure you have enough rest everyday, everything in moderation, when you do have your monthlies don't eat hot food like chilli and no cold food neither.
erm... what else... that's what usually helps me
like when i rest alot i tend to have my periods less regular when i get busy (such as during school terms) it comes more regular
hope this helps =D

that's just the way your body is. I have the same problem and can't take the pill because of blood clots so I never know when I'm getting it.
