Yeah I know lots of people who just embrace life and deal with whatever it throws at them. Everything in your life happens for a reason....and if that means you will end up old and alone so be it things could be a lot worse. However in saying that I just know people like that........me myself I'm terrified of the prospect!!

With the divorce rates and people hurting each other all the time there are many more people alone out here than you may think. The ones that fear somewhat of being alone are those that have hope of a partner somewhere as there are others that do just fine alone and prefer it. Age happens and we don't want the alternative, so what can we do and yes I know of many.

I don't fear being alone at all.
I really couldn't care, i'm really young just now though so it might change. I just don't actually think i'll end up alone. Not many people do.. hmm.
I don't like the idea of getting older like inbetween 25 and like 55 but after that I don't fear it. I just don't like the idea of the middle part lol. At least when you're older than that you're not expected to look or act young so I think it will be cool to just be yourself and not be under pressure. I guess that's about retirement age too
But it seems that there's still loads of things you can do when you're older. I look at my grandparents and think it would be a doddle. They still get about and have fun and act silly and they're over 70.

Hi Minkus! I'm sorry I haven't been able to answer your questions lately. Like you, I have moved out west. Hope all is well with you. I missed reading your questions!
I don't have any problem with being old and alone, so long as hot females keep me company while I am young. I'll always be able to reminisce about the good times, even when I am on my deathbed.

Growing old is not normal. Man was meant to live for ever.Speaking of the human brain Isaac Asimov wrote that it is "perfectly capable of handling any load of learning and memory which the human being is lilkely to put upon it-and a billion times more than that quanity, too." Why was the human brain endowed with such a capacity if it was not to be used? This is in complete agreement with the bible, which says that the righteous will possess the earth, and will reside on it forever. Psalms 37:10-11 In answer to your question, it is normal to be concerned, but if we truely believe in God's promises for a future paradise earth in which godfearing man will live, our fear will be lessened. :) arum

I'm not. If my kids want my money they're going to have to put up with me, and I've already told them I plan on being as big a pain as they are now.
Surely you know how to make friends. Even people who have lost their partners reach out to others and find companionship. It's not that hard there's always someone looking for a true friend.
That failing, you can get a pet.
