Ok. As aweful of a person as this makes me sound, I godda do it. My life has been SO busy for like the past week, and I haven't had much time to spend with my puppies. They have made my craft room their unofficial litter box (in a remote area of the house). Upon finding what they had been doing, I shut them out of that room. I don't have a carpet machine, and was wondering what thee best way to clean up the mess would be...it's pretty bad. I've already picked up what I could.

By the sounds of it, you don't have just an isolated "spot" that needs to be cleaned. I would recommend going to your local grocery store, or hardware store and rent a "Rug Doctor" for a day. I usually do this once or twice a year with my carpets. Costs me between $20 -$25 for the machine.

Rather than purchasing the "Rug Doctor" brand soap, which is VERY expensive, I've found some very cost effective, remarkable alternatives. In the case of pet odors, I would follow the advice given of using white vinegar in the machine. When doing general carpet cleaning, I usually use the off-brand of "Oxy-Clean." It works WONDERFULLY and costs a FRACTION of what carpet cleaners cost. I'm not sure how the oxy-clean works for removing pet odors, however, but when I clean my carpets with oxy-clean, they come out beautiful and have no odor.

Probably some old towels and vinegar water. Pout the mixture(half of each) on the urine spots and then put old towels or paper towels on top and step it up. Keep stepping it it until no moisture come up. If you can get to a pet store get some Natures Miracle and use it on the smelly spots. . If you have brown spots from the other I guess you'll have to get on you hands and knees and scrub with an old towel.
Baking sods and vinegar help in the water for the odor...but natures Miracle is wonderful. You could probably order it on the internet.
