Congratulations, It is normal to be faint during pregnancy, have your blood tested for anameima, this is a very common cause of feeling lightheaded. As you are nearly halfway you should be very careful as you don't want to faint on your stomach, I get very dizzy and I was hypogycimic, so I had low sugar, carry some high in sugar lollies so when you start to feel faint eat your lollies and hopefully by bringing up your sugar it will give you a bit of a lift and stop you from fainting also sit down as you have extra blood pumping around your body due to pregnancy.
Normally fainting is caused from low blood pressure and low in sugar, so by making sure you have something high in sugar on hand at all times it should give you enough boost to get to eat something proper. If worried see your doctor sooner then your next appointment but if you are ok then make sure you mention it during your next anti-natal appointment.
Best of luck. I hope this helps as it worked wonders for me, I am 24 weeks and get very dizzy after a sugar burst I feel better not great but it stops me from passing out. Good luck.

yes it can be normal as your body is going through many changes also your baby will be taking all your natural vitamins etc you are now breathing and living for two and that puts a lot of pressure on your body and its internal organs.
Make sure that you eat a good healthy diet, drink plenty of fluids and do not rush around take things easy now also when you get up do it slow. Your baby will aslo start moving soon so you can feel it this also makes you dizzy especially the first time baby turns it is called the quickning.
Saying all that do go and see docotr or midwife and get yourself checked out to ease your mind because no matter what good advise and reasurrance you get off any of us you will still worry.
I used to pass out a lot at that stage and feel sick and giddy because I thought I could do it all like before.

Yes, dizziness and light-headedness is common during pregnancy. Unfortunately, it might be a sign of blood sugar problmes. Try eating something next time this happens and see if that effects it. You'll be checked for gestational diabetes sometime between 24-28 weeks and they'll be able to get a more accurate response there.

Hi
It's totally normal. I was dizzy and falling over all over the place when I was pregnant with my son.
Apparantly it has something to do with the fact that the first trimester, the baby takes all your energy, food etc in order to enable it to grow. and to do also with blood flow to the brain.
That is generally why you feel much more hungry and tired in the first three months of pregnancy.
Having said that though, I would still speak to your midwife to check that you're not likely to keep fainting and injuring yourself in the process.
Hope this helps a bit!!

Yes i felt both dizzy and faint and collapsed on two occasions I was anemic and needed a iron supplement, this is very common in pregnancys. Ring your midwife and tell her and she will give you a blood test to determine if this is the case. You will probably be feeling tired also? the iron tablets help combat that also... Good Luck!

Could be low blood pressure or lack of iron. Although you are going through a lot of changes, faintness and dizziness needs to be addressed. See a GP.

it's certainly normal to feel it during the first twelve weeks. less common at your stage. It sounds like your blood pressure or your blood sugar could be a little low. Are you eating a nutritious diet? Are you resting or running around all busy? Get a check up done at the gp - blood pressure and blood sugar. It could also be a sign of anaemia -iron deficiency- you may need a blood test to check your levels. Have you been taking iron supplements?

you need to see your dr about it. it is normal to a point. if your feeling this way alot through the day you should ask your dr to check you out good and explain whats happening... sometimes you can become anemic while pregnant and have to be on iron pills and this can make you dizzy and feel faint.... eat lots of peanut butter if that is the problem!!!

With my first child I felt dizzy and faint a lot. My doctor put me on bed rest. Not so much with my second. My second pregnancy went much better than my first.
