The economy will start to go backwards. Wall street hates higer taxes and excessive regulations. That is what the Democrats have already comitted to do. People hate the war. Unless there is radical change in the Iraq situation for the better, and it gets reported by the mainstream media, the Democrats will take both the presidency and the senate and gain in the house in 2008.

The swing voters are only voting on one issue - Iraq. The economy and employment are great. The democrats didn't try to attack on any other issue than Iraq. It was a good strategy to win.

I just feel really bad for what is goign to happen to the poor Iraqui people when the Dems force a pullout. I hope it is not like Cambodia where 1.5 to 3 million were slaughtered when we left Vietnam. It will be so sad if this happens, but people won't even pay attention.

The world economy will take a hit as well.

I can see many different things happening.

The war in Iraq will be a big issue. The 'Oil' concerns will be another. Bush will have to work for a change. How we are perceived by the rest of the world, could be a big factor here. There are many items that need to be addressed that are keeping various people dissatisfied.

In many of the races that that were hotly contested, the Democrats that won, were mostly of the Conservative group of the party.

It seems that the Republican leadership was only concerned about throwing 'our' weight around in the world in my humble opinion. Meaning, they were more worried about what was happening externally, than what was taking place internally. Or to put it bluntly, they were more concerned with the Middle East than the Midwest, more concerned about what goes on in Europe, than the Pacific Coast, more concerned about what was taking place in the Far East, rather than the East Coast. One thing that I do know is this, 'they' were much more concerned with the Tsunami in Indonesia than Katrina here at home. Plus, Why hasn't Bin Laden been caught yet? Or do the Republicans really care if he is or not.

Basically, 'Our' concerns could become important again.

Leave every other country in the world alone and quit getting people so mad that they resort to terrorising in retaliation..
Get their own houses in order, by quit spending trillions of the national dept on crappy unneedless wars..
handle poverty, healthcare, medicare, taxes, bring back family traditions, get the 60% divorce rate down, thin up all the fatties in the country.. shut down all the KFC's, McDonalds, etc... Tell everyone to start walking the block to work instead of driving 1 block.. take the stairs instead of the elevator to floor# 2...
Where does it end...
need to clean up Americas front yard first and foremost..

It could actually start to look after its people properly instead of sacrificing its young on distannt battlefields in unwinnable wars.

It could actually look at spending its Military budget on stupid things like FREE hospitals, Education, better social welfare programs.

It could look at spending taxes on better roads, infrastructure, jobs and skills programs..**** it could even try and persuade people of other nations by peaceful means instead of murder and mayhem,( lets face it since Vietnam killing someones relitives does not usually win his heart and mind! Maybe time to try a new tack)

And a really out there thought it could even make the rich pay their fair share of tax instead of the average Joe. Hey maybe you might even get your Constitution back before it was perverted and destroyed by the Patriot act.
