I believe Bankrupt = gone forever, along with any warranty that you may have had. You can check with the new company, but don't be surprised when they tell you to take a flying leap.

We run a business and I know in the past we have had to do repairs from the people who had previous had things from the original person who did the job however it was still under the company they got the good from the person just left and no longer did work for them because the good were under guarantee we had to do it.
I think if someone goes bankrupt the past goes with them. You could try and ask the company if they will Honor the agreement or contact your local CAB they may be able to give you more accurate details or speak to one of those solicitors who do free consultations to see if you have any rights.
It is an expensive item to repair so it will be up to them I am sure if you have a guarantee it should be honered good luck.

The best thing i would do is approach the company and ask them politely if they have taken over the business, if so then again politely you could say you had made contact with the old company and they promised they'd replace it but never did , maybe this new company might replace it out of kindness.

You may be able to collect on it, maybe. The old company may have just left a type of escroll account to cover all accounts for a specified time period. If your lucky or, the new company may honor the old one or be able to give you a deal on repairs. Try it and good luck.
