BBC is okay but limited. I also like the Reuters site. That is very good has you often get the rush footage through before it is finalised for broadcast. Newspapers like the Times and Guardian are good. I also go to the RTE site.
If you are interested in a particular area of the world, I recommend you find an English-language site from that area rather than relying on US or UK sites.
