No,they used to be good but now they feel just like any hollywood blockbuster.
Its all too predictable.
I won't bother. I'll fall asleep to it at Christmas 2008

The early Bond films like Dr. No, Goldfinger, etc were good films without the use of all the computer generated special effects. I agree that after awhile it's just so repetitious. The first two King Kong movies were good but I thought the third was a bit phony with all the CG Effects. But movies are meant to entertain people and if the movie attracts crowds to the theater then they will continue to produce these types of films. How many Rocky movies were there?

Well they have changed the actor who plays Bond over the years but the movies are entertaining nonetheless. Lots of chase scenes, bad villain shooters, women, good location shots etc. I will see it.

I love anything that tries to take me off. Bond does a fair try of it.
My job is of course much more exciting than his. But I have more sense than to shag the bad girls.

He lives the kind of life we can only fantasise about. Isn't that why we like so many movie characters?
The world travel to exotic locations, endless supply of beautiful women, fabulous cars, gambling at amazing casinos, mixing with the world's beautiful people..
Then we have the big-boys toys and his licence to kill.
Mostly though he does everything with such charm, doesn't break a sweat and has not a hair out of place.

I think you oculd apply that logic to a lot of film genres out there!!!
Lets take romantic comedies for instance!! guy meets girl and they get along, start going out thne fall out over something then here's comes th happy ending where they get back together!!!
Horror maniac kills people, somebody escapes and either reports to police who then catch the guy or they end up escaping and taking on the maniac and killing them!!!

So how many did you watch before you figured that out.
Hmmm? Same name, same story.
Why stick with any series of any story?
