Biodegradable means it will dissolve to the point of not being a hazard to the environment.

Non Biodegradable means part or all of it will not break down and will remain in the environment after use.

If you are wanting to know what ingredients are different check and compare the ingredient lists of both types of powder.

Bio-degradable means that it's environmentally safe, it will degrade in the backyard without killing the grass for instance, simply. The dog licking it won't die, it won't kill the flowers. Got it?
