According to one area of fiction, specifically a short lived television show form the nineties called Forever Night, Aids turned out to be a cure for a blood disease that the vampires had developed.
I would think, however, that for the most part the fact that they are already dead would create an environment that the virus could NOT survive in...besides such an event would detract formt he supposedly indestructable nature of the creature since only certain things can harm them (silver, garlic, wooden stakes, holy water, sunlight) and they are supposed to be immune to all terrestrial diseases...

Not according to the mythology surrounding the genre.
Vampires are technically "undead" creatures. They have no living tissue, just bodies that are mobile because of a demonic force. They neither grow nor rot.
The AID's and Hepatitis Viruses need living tissue to infect in order to reproduce. The AID's virus is particularly delicate, and dies in cold temperatures. Vampires aren't known as a "warm" group, and don't have any living tissue to infect.
A vampire could, however, pass such an infection from one victim to another, by biting an infected person, and then immediately biting a non-infected person without cleaning its mouth. Nice group, huh?

If vampires did exist, they might a minimum of be distributors of it, yet because of the fact that they do no longer exist then it somewhat is in all danger that maximum if no longer all people who drink blood have AIDS. i'm particular druggies might % to sell blood to so called vampires because of the fact the purple flow refuse them while they war beneficial. I fairly doubt the so called vampires do any finding out in the previous ingesting it or giving it to be drank. So if ya % to be a vampire, you additionally would be getting a Darwin Award. in case you do no longer understand what this is, it somewhat is attractiveness you get from taking your self out of the gene pool via an act of your guy or woman stupidity.

fictional vampires are imune to all diseases. this would seem to be one of the many benefits of vampirism. some of the others i can think of are:
super-human strength
the ability to metamorphasise into a bat (or many bats)
immortality
the weaknesses i can think of are:
garlic is a poison
sunlight will either hurt, burn or kill them (depending on the source)
crucifixes scare them
must have human blood or they become very weak
so, it would seem that a modern vampire would have a good chance of eventually consuming blood containing the HI Virus or the hepatitus virus. it would however seem likely that his vampire powers would cause him not to get ill. is he then a carrier? i would guess not. his vampire blood would simply not be succeptible to mere human diseases!

Vampires are already dead, meaning that they have no living cells in their bodies. Therefore, they have no immune system (an immune system is made up of cells that attack viruses, bacteria, and other invading organisms). Since AIDS is a breakdown of the immune system, vampires cannot contract AIDS because they have no immune system to break down.

I'm guessing that even if they do get AIDS or Hepatitis, that they won't die from them since they're immortal.

Because it wouldn't be very exciting if they died of AIDS rather than being hunted down by Buffy and staked through the heart

Beacause they are fictional and AIDS is not.
The same reason, why werewolves don't have bank accounts.

They might get those illnesses, but they won't die.
They only can die from a stake through the heart.
(Just make sure to wear rubber gloves if you are the one killing him)
