Is there any homemade Alternativesfor beta food?

Bettas eat fish flakes, worms, brine shrimp, mosquito fry, algae, and fish fry. Pellets are too large for their mouthpiece. Homemade alternatives? Try collecting mosquito fry from open water containers. Or earth worms. Other than these, just give your betta some flakes. Better safe than sorry.

Not unless you've got a home supply of micro worms :)

Please, whatever you do, don't feed your betta crackers or anything else of the sort. Bettas are carnivores, so crackers will be very disastrous to their digestive system, and it is very likely that your betta friend will die :(

The good news is that bettas can be perfectly fine skipping a couple of days of food -- plenty of time for you to go out and buy some pellets :)

I recommend bio-gold, my betta loves it.
