Yes, It has been a while since I used a Palm OS device and I have the 700w now but the Docs to Go application (something like that) should allow you to edit MS Office documents.

BTW, the new Palm 700p comes with the complete version of Docs to Go. (I tried to buy a 650 last week and they were ALL GONE!)
Also with a Treo, you aren't limited to just Documents To Go, other word processing/Office programs will work with the Treo. Quick Office comes to mind, there may be other titles as well.

The problem you have is that the version of Docs to go that comes with the Treo 650 is read only for word Docs. You need to buy the upgrade version. I have done the same peronaly.

if you have documents to go installed on the 650 you can edit and view word just like office. you need documants to go though. your device should have came with it and you may just need to pay 19 dollars to update it but once thats done its office with a diffrent name.

As long as they are not set to "read only" you should be able to edit them.
