Badrinath is closed during winters . It opens in the middle of April, the exact date being decided by the priests in March.
So, you may just about not be able to go to Badrinath on 8th April.

Of course! If you have to reach in the morning, then catch a bus 1 day ago, preferably in the morning. If you wish to reach at night, then catch the bus same day.
