The life span for haploid males and diploid males of Habrobracon serinopae was determined after exposure as adults a 60 kr of x rays. The diploid males have a longer duration of life than the haploid males. This indicates that the decrease in life span after irradiation is related to damage to the chromosomal material. Non-irradiated diploid and haploid males have the same life span. The primary damage leading to a decreased life span is different for the irradiated and non-irradiated groups. The mechanisms involved in the normal aging process are different from those involved in the decreased life span from x irradiation.

Apparently after about age 35-40, you need to go into ALMOST starvation mode. Basically (as extrapolated from mice) you can live the first half of your life as a totall hedonist. Then you need to deprive yourself of calories. The research i heard refers specifically to food calories. And don't smoke. But bassically be on the edge of hunger ALL the time. REDUCE CALORIC INTAKE!!!! Then you can live to around 80, almost problem free! By then they'll have fixed aging anyway. So, party on dude!

Stop eating meat to start with. If everyone stopped eating meat right now, then there would be enough food to feed the entire world, with some to spare.
Exercise is fine, but do too much and you get all these lovely free radicals in your system from breathing oxygen, therefore aging you faster. Best thing to do is to avoid more than 15 minutes of sun a day, and to get plenty of vitamin c, natures antidote to free radicals.
