I am a novice to Fantasy Hockey and need some help/direction.
I'm in a Rotisserie League with one scoring stat being PIM. I would think the more PIM a Fantasy Team has the lower the scoring in that category... kinda like ERA in Fantasy Baseball. Why then, do the Teams in my Fantasy League get more points for more PIM. My Team and others, who have 0 PIM, are scoring the lowest in that category. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know it's crazy but you actually want to have pim. You get a point for having the most PIM in a week so pick up a broozer guy who is going to give you points and PIM. A defensive guy is pretty good at that but just be sure to check out his +/- too because you don't want to loose out in that category also. Once you play fantasy hockey you get hooked and can't wait for the next season to start. Good luck!!!

It is the way they have always been. You have to add a proven PIM guy to your score. Add a guy like Sean Avery who will get you some points and Pims. Maybe Magratton on Ottawa would not be a bad choice either, he may score or get a few points through osmosis on that team and will give you PIMS. Walker on Carolina is another. You have to be like the teams in the NHL and carry one guy. Defense is a good place to hide a a guy. Commodore on Carolina also is another decent choice.

To get higher PIM, look into guys like Sean Avery (C) and O'Brien (D). Also, it's nice to get some Dmen like Souray and Phaneuf who put up decent PIMs.
