Final Fantasy X-2?

Hiya ^-^..

- I haven't played ANY Final Fantasy games but I've watched Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and thought it was quite interesting. I've also looked at lots of stuff about Final Fantasy X and X-2 and I really like the story..plot..etc..so I wanna write a fanfic about it. But..i don't know what happens inside lol. Can sum1 tell me like the main things that happen? Doesn't have to be very long..just main bullet points. Would be very appreciated!!

hehe, um, i jst want to write a fanfic..not like get sum1 else to write it..but I jst wana know what basically happens and I've tried to look for info online but cnt find much. but neways..thanks for your comment ^-^

The best way, really, would be to play them - if you don't feel like taking time out of life to work and cook dinner, it can be done in less than a month (maybe - MAYBE 2 weeks, if you're not a completionist) - FFX and X-2 combine to make a really beautiful story- the love between Tidus and Yuna, and Shuyin and Lenne.. it's a really, really beautiful connection.


In my summation - Tidus was the star blitzball player (this is what I mean about playing through though - this is stuff you "get" better when you know what you're getting into) of the Zanarkand Abes. Zanarkind was a large, techno-savvy city, and in the middle of a game one night, Sin appeared.


Sin is this large..... thing...... thought to be a punishment for technology... Um.... and it destroys stuff. A LOT. Hardcore destruction....


Anyway, Tidus is whisked away into the far future, where he learns that Sin still exists, and reappears every 10 years or so, to ... punish people, for machines and stuff.


Tidus almost immediately meets Yuna, a summoner - and learns (later) that the summoner has to die in order to get rid of Sin - the summoner dies from the Final Summoning, which (learned even later) is one of the Summoners guardians.

Oh, guardians guard the summoner on their pilgrimage through the various shrines, on the way to Zanarkand, where the Final Summoning is attained.


It's a pretty sad story, X, because Tidus learns that not only is Yuna supposed to die, he learns that he is a dream of the Fayth - he's not real. And, he learns that his father has become Sin - and Tidus has some parental issues here.

At the end, Tidus sort of just ....... dissolves, after the party vanquishes Sin once and for all (WITHOUT using the Final Summoning).... and he is no more.


X-2 starts with Yuna seeing a sphere (like an old home movie) of someone who looks JUST LIKE Tidus being tortured - the story moves in the present (after the defeat of Sin), but moves a thousand years in the past, as you see what happened between Shuyin (a former star blitzball player) and Lenne (a popular singer, AND a summoner)....... It's really emotional if you've gone through both games..


This is a horrible plot outline - the games are amazing with the amount of detail - you have a large handful of characters in each game, each with their own pretty detailed story- and it makes for one hell of a month of playing - It's amazing..... You can read the above links, and gain some vague understanding of the story, but if you REALLY want to write about it, you have to play it - no matter how detailed, no plot outline can describe the true story, the feelings, the events, like the games can.

the best way to get the whole grasp of these stories it to actually play the game yourself.... or watch someone play it....

the Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X world are completely unrelated.

X-2 is a continuation of X
VII: AC is a continuation of VII

these two were the only 'continuations' of any final fantasy game.

VII and X take about 70-80hrs to beat
X-2 can take about 70-100hrs.... to get the full story (you have to beat it multiple times, at least twice)

it's a very bad idea to make a fan based work if you don't know all of the details. if you make a wrong reference you'll get flamed by other fans

Well, every Final Fantasy game (excluding X and X-2) are stand alone games, with different worlds, storylines, and characters. In this way, FF games are different than usual sequels. If I were you, I'd check wikipedia. These games have epic, detailed storylines, and it would take me a long time to describe one of the games to you, never mind ALL of them. I've found the best way to get inspiration and information in fics is by gathering the information yourself. It wouldn't hurt to do some research, even play a game if you have to. And it would be more rewarding than basically having someone write your story for you.
