Hey my advice is don't listen to the advice you are getting here where folks say you need software to do it. You can set up a web site and have it online right now and get this...free.
I suggest you go to http://www.freewebs.com and sign up free.
So when you first start one do not dare spend a penny or you'll waste money. Sign up for a free one first and get to know how to do it.

Try Yahoo Web Hosting. You may search up the URL to the Web Hosting site via Yahoo!'s Search Engine on www.yahoo.com
Yahoo! Web Hosting caters to all websites, including personal homepages, business sites, etc...

Do not use free hosts. Create your own domain, search "domain" in www.google.com, or go to www.icann.org to see the list of companies. A good one is http://www.doteasy.com/Services/WebHosting/
You can have your one domain www.mycompany.com, AND ALSO hosting in dotesay.com. They have free and cheap hosting to choose from.

It is my suggestion to create a group in (www.yahoogroups.com), Therefore your are able to have many people thus it help you to develop your business.
Otherwise you have pay for website and create it on your own and send the address to many people.
other use search engines and have an idea of creating new pages.....................

to create a webpage you need a software like frontpage to design your pages, then you need to buy your domain name for a low price you can get from yahoo, the a webhosting package hoststock offers good price.
