First of all, they always cast a black lady opposite a black man (the very few movies where a black man is actually a hero), and if they ever cast a white lady opposite a black man, they never show him kissing that white woman... Of course there are a few rarest of the rare movies where this happens, but what I am saying is, that this is not common. In fact a white hero will always get to kiss a black lady if cast opposite him... Isn't this racist?

You've got it backwards.

Black audiences (or at least the influential, vocal members) are the ones who will be upset with a black male lead kissing a white female lead.

(Meanwhile, movie-makers fear choosing both a black male lead and a black female lead will make the film a "black" film, losing the white mainstream audience.)

This often leads to black male leads winding up with Asian or Latino female leads, or black males playing opposite white female leads, but never actually kissing.

I don't think there's like this One all powerful guy in Hollywood saying DON"T MAKE the LEAD BLACK MALE GET A WHITE FEMALE, but I do think it's just not done as much. And yes sometimes SOME black people use their color card to whine about stuff, but most of the times PEOPLE ARE RACIST! White people don't think it still goes on, but it does. And you don't have to be in a redneck country area for it to happen. Hollywood doesn't usually cast the lead Black man to the leading white lady, but it DOES happen. Denzel Washington in Out of Time was married to Eva Mendez even tho he cheated on her with a black lady. In Something New the lead black actress goes with a white male. Halle Berry with Billy Bob in Monsters Ball. Pierce Brosnan & Halle Berry again in 007.

What about Saving the last Dance where Sean Patrick Thomas is the leading black actor and Julia Stiles is the leading white actress and they kiss..they do a little more than just kiss. So don't say that Hollywood is racist...there is other movies, this is the only one that popped in my head right away.

Some might way this...and in truth there is a hint of that in it....however it is more a refelction of american society than of any racial attitudes in Hollywood. In all honesty I doubt that the american viewing audience would not accept such roles (the same reason that asian actrors only get the lead in action movies) until attitudes in the public arena change....the roles and casting for those parts won't change....

So, I like the TV show heroes. One of the reasons is that there are several inter-racial relationships and no one is worried about it at all. One white guys is trying to steal an african-american woman from her current boyfriend, a white painter. There is another couple, an african-american man and a white woman and their inter-racial child who has special powers.

It's starting to be acceptible to have interracial relationships without that being the focus of the film/tv show ect. which is nice.

Okay. "hero" based movies are rare now a days , But if i'm correct Samuel L jackson was in a movie called "Snakes on a plane" and if I'm correct he saved some people. Thus making him a hero.

I hardly see any hero based movies , But movies period , where the lead role is of an african, their is alot!

Samuel L jackson is one of my favorite actors , of all times.

Pulp-Fiction , One of the lead roles , was an african . Samuel L jackson.

I forgot the name but dave chappell was in it , He was the Leading character in it , hilarious movie!

Their are many , many , many movies where the leading character is an actor , Many of them are my personal favorites.

I would list some right now , But my mind has gone blank

Check out "Shadowboxer" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0396857/ with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Helen Mirren. Black leading man doing MORE than just kissing the while leading woman. Pretty good movie and it just came out this week.
