i wouldnt rule it out, but I do believe that several of the impulses that we get from seeing someone that we are attracted to are just lust. Think about it. The only sensory perceptions that we get from a person when first seeing them is their looks and mannerisms. It's only when you get to talking to them and truly spending some time with them that you can actually fall in love with them. When we see someone initially and get that tingly sensation, its simply our hormones telling us that we want to engage in some sort of naughty acts with them. lol. Though it is possible, I would have to say that most of the time it is lust at first site.

Isn't it funny, everyone's interpretation of falling in love...or lust?
I think it is a beautiful fantasy to glimpse into the eyes of someone, immediately know that there is a connection and end up in a solid relationship with that person; one would say that this was love at first sight.
Of course, logically, as the guy pointed out below, our sensory perceptions are working at the time of the "first sight" because it takes other factors that lead to the love interest. He's right, all the bells and whistles are ringing via our hormones and we're reading one another. We "feel" what is supposed to happen physiologically by nature.
The thing is, its not bad that this first sighting is "lust." In fact, its a good sign because the next step would be to learn about the person, find out what you have in common, get over some of the "Seinfeld" hiccups that might otherwise stop you from dating this person (i.e., she has man hands, she's a mumbler, he's bald, etc.). That's when you know it is turning into love. When you are in lust mode, once those energetic, volcanic actions start to slow to a crawl, that's when you notice things if it didn't go the lane of love. That's when you think...those are the ugliest lips...and I let him ravage me?
So, keep the fantasy of love at first sight and be happy that it was really lust that turned into love. Otherwise, we will end up like many people and wonder how in the world we stayed with that person for so many years.

I believe in love at first sight. I understand your question since it is open to interpretation and hindsight is almost always clearer. Love at first sight can and does happen but your heart has to be in the right place and the tumblers of the universe click into place. 18 years ago I met my wife and it was just like that. Our eyes met and we both just knew.

Cheesy **** it sounds like (which it is) but something made me talk (well scream) to him. We switched #'s and for 3 years weve been together. I believe in love at first site but ouf course Lust has a little to do with it.

Maybe yes, but I think that love at first sight is not love as it. You maybe just attracted because of his or her personal appearance (eyes, face, lips etc.).
