Now that the election is over, could we all please just stop all the mindless name calling crap? Please? Pretty please with sugar and chocolate and marshmallows and skittles and m&ms on top?

Don't we all have better things to do than whining/complaining/bragging/gloating about who did or didn't win?
If this is all we are going to do, how can we possibly hope to get anything beneficial done in this country?

For This is Not Honor: I don't frequently travel through space, so...slim to none. I guess you prefer all the angst between parties as opposed to the two groups working together to actually get some things done.

I don't just mean the politicians. I am talking about all of us asking/answering in the Politics section of this website.

Unity is the remedy to cure the cataclyism during the campaign. After the elections, the people must go hand in hand for economic progress.

Politics is like marriage, there are always going to be different views on the issues. It would be too simple if there weren't any differences. The issue is really, what are you willing to put up with?(such as in marriage) So far, it seems that the people are speaking for change. But politics will always be what it is. Different opinions about the same issues. Such is life.

Amen. It's tempting to boast and say, "I told you so," but frankly, I'd much rather see our representatives work together to make sure our government works. That means bring back checks and balances. That means not applying different standards and expectations to members of your own party than you to do members of the other party. It means compromising.
So hopefully, the Republicans will take to heart the message delivered today by the voters of America, and hopefully they and the Democrats can work together toward common goals.

i don't come to this section often, and now i know why. i find both sides name calling to be pretty disgusting! and we wonder why our country is no good?! people need to be more accountable for themselves, don't depend on the government. take care of yourself.
