Go back to the herbalist and take what herbs you have left with you. He/she should re-examine you and give you a new prescription. If you have a decent herbalist they will swop the old herbs for new and it won't cost you. Also, if you are having acupuncture of another practitioner then mention what happened because it might affect the treatment.
I've taken chinese herbs for over 15 years now. I've had one or two bad reactions but it's never put me off.
Ask the herbalist if it would be possible to get a herbal mixture that you can use as a wash. I have used herbal teas on my skin before and they can be very effective. But i have also had teas that absolutely make me gag. The trick is to drink them at the right temperature (bodytemperature is probably best) and to drink little sips.
Good luck.

Please be careful .

I read an article about 2 years ago about a woman who took medicine given to her by a Chinese herbalist for her very bad psoriasis. The medicine worked wonderfully, and her psoriasis cleared up. She had a good year or two, but then became very ill. The medicine had destroyed her kidneys. She had to stop taking it immediately, her psoriasis had returned but worse, she was very ill (possibly terminally), and her marriage had fallen apart.

The medicine contained a substance which has been banned in this country.

I voted for the answer from The Alchemist. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

If it is just the horrid taste you're having trouble getting past, there's a possibility you could grind the herbs and put them in empty gelatin capsules, available at most health food stores.

However, if the herbs are actually making you sick, you should not take them. May be having an allergic reaction.

BTW, what he sold you is not simple Schizandra, which doesn't taste bad at all.

certain they artwork and that i have tried both the herbs that the chinese language clinical specialist prescribes an you favor to boil the herbs your self ( the flavor will be nasty to take yet they do artwork ). yet I now am a established person of the patent drugs, maximum of them are more competitively priced than western drugs's and they artwork with out aspect impacts. in case you bypass to a chinese language Herbalist they'd properly be able to grant you a manufacturers brochure which will clarify in English which pills are for what ailment? strong success

In your case Homeopathy is the answer to your problem but you need to find a Dr. who has practice 20 - 30 years. I used all healing approaches and substance to help people ... each have their time and place but as I stated above Homeopathy is the answer. There are many homeopathy Dr. but rarely do you find one who know how to use the remedies correctly.
Also understand psoriasis is not the problem... it simply is the sympton being created by your problem. People who treat symptoms only 'suppress'... people who treat 'Cause' heal!

Tell them about you nausea when you go to acupuncture ,don't take the tea if it makes you sick, try it as very weak brew and see if it still makes you sick !
If you have acupuncture you shouldn't need anything else to start with wait how that works first !
