The Earth will be gone in around 5.5 billion years (5,500,000,000) when our sun converts its last remnants of hydrogen into helium and turns into a red giant, which means it will expand and engulf the entire solar system with its remaining energy and then deflate. The Earth will be completely vaporised along with everything on it.
I highly doubt there will be any living creatures on Earth by the time this happens anyway since there are so many events that can end life on our fragile, lonely, little planet...

When a huge rock the size of Texas encounters the Earths gravitational field.If it gets spun around and in,that will be the complete end of the world as we know it to be.Yet,the Earths gravity will never allow the escape of the asteroids mass that has melted into the planet.This in turn will only make the planet bigger and life will start over,with new types of fauna and flora.....Tom Science 3

From a religious point of view, no one knows. According to the Bible, Jesus says that only God the father knows. Jesus himself doesn't even know. The Bible says it will come like a thief in the night. The end of the world will be predicted throughout time, but these predictions will be wrong because they are not from God. You wont know until it's actually here.

According to Nostradamus it would have been 2005 , but that did not happen. So now it seems Nostradamus has been prroved wrong the first and only time. It seems the World is going to be around for a long time.All doomsayers have been proved wrong.

The earth is part of a galaxy called Milky Way. Like any other star, the Milky Way has a life span -- it could burn out or could be sucked into a black hole. Either way, it will take billions of years before this happens. I doubt you'll live to see it so don't worry.

scientists have found out that the sun is getting nearer to the earth with the passing time..so when the sun is too near to the earth all beings will perish....but that will will take millions of years since the sun is very very far away from the earth....but now scientists believe that before the world comes to a natural end, man will destroy it because we are using all the fossil fuels too quickly and ruthlessly and since fossil fuels take millions of years to form and since it is projected that we will run out of them in another thousand years or so....we will die since we would have nothing to live with
