Sadly no. The repulsive republicans have been defeated and that is cause for MAJOR partying, However this great news needs to be balanced with the terrible news that the democrats won. The democrats supported Bush in the most disasterous and treacherous decisions these past 6 years. They supported the invasion of Iraq whole heartedly, they supported the USA PATRIOT act wholeheartedly, they supported the insidious military commisions act. They supported the very laws that are being used to destroy the greatest republic the earth has known and turn her into a despotic fascist state.
Hopefully they will start to make ammends, and start by beginning to take apart the republican neo-fascist aparatus.
Now for any republicans reading this, remember this when the dems declare gun owners to be 'potential domestic terrorists' and they use the military commisions act or the patriot act to come after you. Remember that it was a republican President that forced it through.
Whenever a goverment that you support pushes through any legislation, ask yourself, what could my opponents do with this legislation? Do you trust them with it? If not, then you should oppose it.

There certainly is a lot of cleaning and mending to do. #1 priority-restore confidence with the American citizens. There certainly is a lot of tomfoolery going on both sides of the fence. This country seems to be a ship without a rudder,no direction and being the Fools for the United Nations scam for a World order at our expense with both Our Cash and Our SONS & DAUGHTERS!
Congress and Senate get your GD act together. Drop that damn spy on your neighbor Homeland security crap sounds like a Nazi Theme,Just keep a very close eye on our ports and keep Soros out!. And WE ARE BEING INVADED! You Idiots! Build that barrier between U.S. and Mexico! It is a no-brainer why Social Secruity is in trouble. And stop giving yourselves raises! Heck give me one..wait I retract that, Keep our Corporations here. Finally Do you even know what it is that is the major contributor of Global warming? Give up? look at the time line..its our millions of square miles of heat trapping Highways,roadways,Super big box parking lots,need I list further? And last IMPEACH BUSH!

Not necessarily. It depends uon the Dems and what they can accomplish. I hope for the sake of the nation that those idiots in Washington can now get something done for the American people.

Well, realistically speaking, the dems haven't won anything. The Republicans still have the presidency. The senate is fifty-fifty, and in the house, the Republicans STILL have enough seats to block any far-left agenda, while at the same time demoncrats will finally have to stand for something instead of just shooting off their mouths.

If we can get around the veto power yes, but it will take what seems like for ever and remember WE are the ones who will have to pay for the debts and damage. No way out of it.
