Yes and no. David Carr has shown he can put up the numbers, he just needs to do it consistentely. I think he'll show he can do this over the second half of the season. Andre Johnson is a beast at WR, but they need some young talent to play alongside him, for when Eric Moulds retires in a year or two. Domanick Davis is a great all-around back, and they have capable back ups who are getting some playing time this year, all good things. The offensive line is playing a little better, but still needs work for sure. The big problem is on D. Their D-line doesn't know what its doing, but this makes sense. Just last year they switched from the 3-4 to the 4-3. They need to change some personnel out this offseason. Everyone they are playing at DT is more of a 3-4 DE. Mario Williams is starting to get on track though, and looks promising. Demeco Ryans is looking like a stud at LB, but outside of him, they are pretty weak. Dunta Robinson will always be a good CB, but i doubt if he'll ever really be a star. At safety, they have very little. This offseason they need to 1) Get help for their secondary at two positions. 2) Change-out some of their D-linemen. 3) Get a WR to groom (from the draft presumably) 4) Continue to improve their O-line. If they can get 3 out of 4 of these done, they'll be in great shape for the future.

David Carr is doing ok but he is inconsistent he is good somedays and bad sometimes I dont think they can make a play off preview this year but next year i would take a quarter back int he 2nd or 3rd round and maybe a o linemen first round pick

the right track for what? making the playoffs? not with this current group, no, they'll need some more big names, a couple more years and they may make it. They've made a ton of draft mistakes though.

It does not appear so. They are no better than they were their first season.
