depends on how backed up the court hearings are. Once you get in the court and sworn in its brief. Few Questions and sources for the judge as to see if the claims are legitimate. 30 - 45 once the hearing starts most likely.

You should go as support for your friend. She is going to be extremely stressed out and being the good friend, I'm sure you are, will stand beside her for her time in need.

It all depends on the court and how backed up it is and how fast they are. But, you can tell your friend that a restraining order is a waste of time. It is not worth the paper its written on. Police will hardly enforce and they have to actually see with their own eyes the person on your property or near you before they will do anything and they are not quick to answer a call for a restraining order. If your friend really wants protection, she needs to get a Protective Order. It has much more authority and is issued by a judge and the police tend to take it more seriously...Good luck.
