Im a Christian but I don't attend Church & I believe with all my heart that Jesus is Gods son BUT I do believe in gay marriage. What as a Christian can I do to make athiests & some gay people to stop hating me? I don't agree with athiests but it's their right to believe or not. I never look down on anyone because they don't believe what I do. And I do know that there are alot of Christians who are judgemental but I'm not one of them. So if anyone has any ideas on how I can be hated less please share your ideas

I'm not gay but I do believe they have just as much of a right to happiness as I do

Rock on with your bad self and keep trying to show people that Christians come in many different flavors, just like all people. You're the kind of Christian I love!

OK, so at the risk of making you angry, please bear with me ok? What does the bible say about homosexulaity, about adultry, about sex outside of marriage? It condemns it, doesn't it?
Now, you say you believe that Jesus is the Son of God- and what did Paul say about people who believed similar to what you do? He wrote in Romans "Even the demons believe Jesus is the Son of God- and they shudder in fear"
So, you've got a moral delima- do you do what Gods book says, or do you go with what your feelings say?
Didn't the Apostle Paul write "There are things that seem right to a man, but wrong in the eyes of God?"
Do you obey God, or are you going to disobey?
Good Luck

in the usa,
we believe in separation of church and state.
this means religion is a matter to be kept private.
this is the cornerstone of our founding fathers.
keep your thoughts private.
kneeling down and praying in one's room,
in private, is a major doctrine of christ.
he chastized people for praying in public,
said it was meant to be private.
jesus said believing in him is what matters.
that is what jesus said.
there is a time to prostelize and that is to a receptive audience.
so , believe in god with all your heart, be good to others, and be of good cheer, and many religions will call you their friend,
good luck.

hahaha thats funny im both athiest and gay people im not really sure i mean i dont hate somone just because they believe in god i only hate it when they try to push their religion on me. and judge who i am. you need to let them know that you dont care what they believe in or who they date because its not your life its theirs. thats prolly how i would say it.

I'm just curious how you can be Christian and ok with gay marriage? I don't know what Bible you read but God destroyed entire ciites for the sin of homosexuality. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is not swayed or changed by what is "politically correct" at the time. Do you remember the city of Sodom? Here's what God did to them:
Genesis 19
Sodom and Gomorrah Destroyed
1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2 "My lords," he said, "please turn aside to your servant's house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning."
"No," they answered, "we will spend the night in the square."
3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
The angels then led Lot & his family out of the city. Here's what happened next:
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. 26 But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the LORD. 28 He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.
29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.
You are trying too hard to be LIKED and not hard enough to be effective. Christ doesn't want us to suck up to the sinners or even try to garner their approval. If you want to be Christlike you must lead the sinner to Christ not attend his or her gay marriage.

I don't know your whole situation, but maybe it's because you claim to be a christian but don't go to church. I can easily imagine you claiming to be christian despite your homosexuality to use as a shield against any prejudice hurled at you. People don't like Easy-Way-Out Shields.

You just have to put up an invisible shield between yourself and others. You can allow them their beliefs, but also set limits on how they are allowed to disagree with you. You can have a discussion, but they must, in the end, respect your beliefs, as you do theirs. You mustn't allow them to disrespect you for your beliefs. You don't have to explain or defend your beliefs to anyone.
