I'm looking at this political consultant on ABC who is wearing this God-AWEFUL toupee and a bowtie! I'm sure he's a perfectly nice man, but what a dork! Does he honestly think that bowties are cool?

A bowtie is normally a subliminal message that tells other women he is married and is effectively neutered. Hence, women feel more comfortable around a bow tie if they're married- or if they like married men. The opposite is a large wide tie that hangs down to the belt- once again, a subliminal message phallic symbol

I haven't a clue. I won't even wear a shirt with a tight collar.

It's a way to stand out as an individual and show that you're not just one of the herd.

obviously it doesn't look good on this man and his matching toupe...but a function...classic base colours and dress always look good...ie, weddings, and pro sports awards ceremonies
