Though I have not personally seen the incident, news papers have reported the incident as follows:
1) As the closing ceremony drew to a close, Ricky Ponting
waved his finger at BCCI President, Sharad Pawar,
signalling him to come and hand over the winner's trophy.
Though it may or may not have been in jest, Pawar had
the decency to just laugh and ask Ponting to step forward
instead to complete the formalities.
2) As the Aussies celebrated exuberantly, the stage was set for
the victory photograph. Even as the players taking the
positions for the cameras, Damien Martyn tapped at Pawar
who happened to be standing there and literally pushed
him out of the stage. Pawar walked away quietly, not
showing any hurt or anger.

yes after winning the australian team celebrated their first icc champions trophy victory and in the process pushed Mr. Pawar. The media is highlighting this. it was an accident. They were filled with joy. it was not done intentionally. Mr. Pawar himself told that it is not a very serious matter.

Nothing, just a little fooling around which all winning teams are entitled to. Its just that we are a bit too touchy about our leaders and seniors. We look up to them too much. Much more pushing and jostling in good spoirits was visible in the World cup soccer when their own team of germany was interacting with Ms.Merkel. Wake up Indians, focus on real issues and donot get offended by imaginary ones.

Great are those who control themselve in happiness and in sorrow and does not forget the basics of a civilized nation. I seriously believe, not after this incident but from long before, that ausssies need some "Education".

They showed their real character. I wish the Australian cricket Board spends .001 % of the money they spend on the training of their players towards their primary education and teaching them basic ettiquettes and manners . May be them they will look like world champions and not rowdies.
