why do people get so bent out of shape for same sex marriage?

i say to each his/her own. if you are happy go for it. doesn;t everybody have the right to expereince marriage. i don't undertsnad why there are some many people against it. yes, people say it is because the bible said it is wrong, but arent these the same people that removed prayer from classrooms and the ten commandments from court houses.

Uh, no- the people who removed prayer from the classrooms, the 10 commandments from the court houses, and removed the Plege Alegance were all atheists.

Most people are against same sex marriage because its a CHOSEN behavior. I chose what I can do with my body- and if I wish to go against the bible's edicts, thats my fault for doing it.

Technically, in the old testament if a woman was found lying with a woman, a man was found lying with a man or an animal, both of them were to be put to death.

The New Testaments a bit more relaxed from the perspective that says you're to pray for them, and they won't enter the kingdom of heaven.

I think we should have two different terms but under the law they would be equal. "Marriage" would be between a man and a woman. A "civil union" (for lack of a better term) would be between same-sex couples. Both would be afforded the exact same rights under the law. Then these religious people could stop sh*tting their pants at the thought of two same-sex people getting "married". They could retain their delusional "sanctity" of MARRIAGE. I'm naive though in thinking that a simple change in terminology would be a solution. Those self-righteous, arrogant prigs are so damn homophobic that anything that would treat gay people like actual human beings would completely blow their sh*t apart.

Actually I don't care about bible or ten commandments. But I also against same sex marriage because that against natural law. What do you think man and woman be created for? And why do the sexes different from each other? I think God create a pair of species with natural process to love and enjoy each other, include to having sex. Our sex organ is prepared to heterosexual relationship. If someone use his organ to unusual other organ that shouldn't be used for, it can be analogue with plant your grain in the air. How can be? Even though it is happened, there will be a lot of damages and destruction to support it.

But I'm sorry for them (gay and lesbian). I think they was having some psychiatric problem to make them like that. Some professional should care and help them to become normal.

You've got your facts a bit backwards. The people who are against same sex marriage are the ones who PUSH TO KEEP prayer in PUBLIC schools and the TEN commandments in our PUBLIC courthouses.

They simply can't divorce religion from State affairs and insist our laws are based solely on THEIR religioius views.

They keep insisting that "marriage" is a holy sacrement, when it's not even Religious marriage that's being debated! They keep injecting THEIR religious views into this argument and refuse to see the difference.

Devout people have a morality issue with it while I believe politicians see it as a possible way to lose an election while corporate people view it as a possible cost center. Three views, three different viewpoints. I doubt anyone is going to come to an agreement anytime soon.

Prayer in school and religious symbols in a public building are different subjects altogether.

well, according to Kinsey there is no one who is one hundred percent gay or straight most people fall somewhere in the middle this where some of the problem occurs. Gay bashers are afraid of their gay side so they vent it in other ways using the bible to say that the sanctity of marriages is suppose to be between a man and a women.
