If you think about it - we celebrate Guy Fawkes failing to blow up the Houses of Parliament. It's an English thing. The French might have celebrated it if he'd succeeded!

The French have firework celebrations on their national day Bastille Day, July 14.

Well, have a little think about why we celebrate bonfire night, or look it up on the internet, and then figure out whether you think the French are likely to celebrate it

No. Bonfire night commemorates a specifically-British event.

The 'Gunpowder plot' to blow up the King at the opening of Parliament was foiled, and the plotters, led by Guy Fawkes, were executed.

You need to think about WHY we celebrate it - what are we celebrating? The answer has a lot to do with RELIGION - France is a mainly Catholic country. We are a mainly Protestant country. What religion was Guy Fawkes, and why was he plotting to blow up the king and parliament?
