Can someone answer this one for me?

What was the majority of voter turn-out? Did just a lot of Dems came out and voted or did a lot of Republicans went against their party candidates?

I think the party lines this election year got blurred and voters simply wanted to "clean house" of the proven inept elected officials and opted to put in new ones. California is always the exception here : their voters are shocked Arnold won a second term!!
