No. But I don't smoke. Don't like the fact I answered? Too bad, life must suck when people don't follow your shouting.

I think the tax should appy to only cigarettes in general , but not a tax of $2.60 a pack. Not spit or dip tabacco becausee those habits only effect the user those altneratives should be encourage to people cant give up nicotine all together. The tax on 2.60 per pack on tobacco will drive a blackmarket probadly. Canada tried to tax the hell out of the tabacco in the 1990s and sicne 90% of the population lives within 100 miles of the border it was worth the time to go across and pay like 2.00 a pack instead of 6.00 dollars they had to reduce the tax after that because the mafia got involved in them game and the blackmarket. A tabacco tax should raised with discreation as to not create a black market for cigarettes.

I've seen the price of cigarettes go up from 2.34 to 5.74 $,in a few years, here in Europe.all added taxes.for a so called creating awareness that smoking is not healthy.... it just changed the buying behavior of the smokers, allot of them buying tobacco now, instead of cigarettes.but that one is going fast up too..
i think it just a way for government to collect more taxes,on some body's addiction,if government really wanted a healthier living, they would not allow smoking in their country..
anyway..i smoke,came from 3 packs a day..too about 2 packs of tobacco a month..,and some times i buy a cigar..
so you can say,it did not make me quit, the higher prize,it just changed my using habit,it is far more less now.
