You should of learned all this stuff before you even bought the fish. It can be costly and time consuming you also have to start with good stock and condition them before they ever meet.

Read all about what you will need and what you will have to do before, during and after they mate. Also think about what you are going to do with the 100+ males that have to be in their own separate place and all the females. If you want to breed them just for the fun of it then pick another fish like guppies.

with a bit of luck you have the room for a number of those bettas! And the form to lead them to no longer uninteresting! And fish that at the instant are not from a puppy shop. it relatively is not very cautioned to reproduce those adult men. and greater than a number of are previous the breeding age. you need to truly basically breed bettas who's parentage and historic past you realize. Ultimatebettas (the link you have been already given) is the be-all-end-all of betta breeding information. they are going to stroll you thru it in case you particularly desire to bypass by using with it. in case you choose your fighter to be somewhat greater thrilling, placed him in a greater physically powerful tank. Mine is in a heavily planted 5 gallon with 2 oto cats and he's very energetic. provide him swimming room and alter his decor each and every now and then, and he must be exciting sufficient with no need to be a stud haha.

To breed, you mean? Hm... maybe take out the divider? Makes a big difference when breeding any species, I'm told...

if the male is making a bubble nest then hes ready, so now has the female displayed her white breeding spot? if so shes ready, then remove the divider, and watch them carefully , she is likely to get bitten and hurt but try to get her out of his clutches before its too late, if they spawn you will see the eggs floating just under the bubble nest.
