update 2: oh and web is ahead by 12,000 now with 99 percent reporting in VA.

and tester is ahead by 11,000 (4 percent) with only 65 percent reporting in Montana... late western states

THEY CAN"T their are 2 independent victories
and 49 Republican seats so the best Democrats can do is 49
Which I think they will get.

It would be sweet (icing on the House victory) ... but it was never likely.

I'm actually surprised that the Dems got 49. Flipping 4 Senate seats is a hell of an achievement!

Its difficult to say! But certainly is possible! I agree that we need a change. Wether the change comes from one party or the other. I want to see alternative energy sources in the place of gasoline. And some management of our vastly polluted environment!

All 3 are close enough to go to re-count.

Democrats need 3 out of 3 to really make a difference in committees. I hope it works out but I wont hold my breath.

We may not know for a month or more, but history says that the winner going in is the winner coming out.

It's possible, but it'll be a squeaker. I think it'll be several weeks before we know for sure, after the close races are thoroughly recounted.
