When I was younger, of course, I felt hatred or dislike at times, but as I got older I've become to appreciate them. Sure sometimes they can get on my nerves but that's normal. My parents work their butts off just to support a family and earn a living. What they do earned them my respect definitely. They also took care of me and put up with my complaints and etc. My mother followed the saying "Mothers are always right." And she definitely hit the nail on the head a few times. Respect for my parents? Yup!

I would have to say that I don't like I should. I can be a real big jerk to my dad. I do love him but we both get so mad at each other. I think it might be time to move out. My dad is worthy of respect. He did raise me after all and he has shown me that he loves me and he has put his life on hold for me and my brother. My mom I would say that she has lived a life of a woman that I would say for a mother doesn't deserve respect. But because she is my mother and she gave birth to me and raised me too. She deserves respect just because she is my mother. I have been going to church all my life so I know what the bible says and what god says about respect and honor. I know I should but I have not in any way like I should have been doing.

i do, but as my father taught me as a kid, "respect is earned, not just given".
so, if one of them is being an idiot about something, i'm not going to just go along with it. i can respect them without agreeing with their point of view. to give you an idea of what i'm talking about, my dad is an alcoholic. while i love and respect him, i'm not about to put up with drunken B.S. from him.
i'm 23 now, so its not like i'm not home and disagreeing to take out the trash. i live on my own, and see my parents once or twice a week. saw mom this morning actually. lol. i wasnt the type to get into trouble though, and i always did my chores and stuff without having to be told. other than keeping my room clean. man, i sucked at that.

Most people would say yes. I can honestly say no. With the things my parents (both 2gether and apart) have put my siblings and I threw, there is no reason 4 any of it. I am a mom of 4 now and what both my parents put us threw, I wouldn't dream of even breathing such things towards my children. But then again, most people haven't gone threw the things i have with thier parents. If u just bicker back and forth thats one thing, aiming harm towrds ur children or grandchildren is another! Its unspeakable!!!

Always, my Mom is the most beautiful woman, maternally not one woman could compare. Even though my Dad was an over aggresive alky, he taught me a lot about what I wanted to be and didn't, he fixed my heart and he fixed my car when they were broken down. Like me he's an angel without a halo and one wing in the fire!

There is no one I respect more. I might not always agree with them, but I have the utmost respect for them.
