regular clothes, be it slacks or a skirt and blouse. They don't wear their robe unless they are in session. They come to the office (courthouse) dressed in their office clothes and just "throw" the robe on before entering the courtroom.

for the majority of judges...i'd guess what most people would wear to the "office"...a suit and tie...ever see "my cousin vinny"..most robes just zip and off and voila!!..clothes!!!
