I have seen a report on this exact thing. Taxi drivers were number one on the list for most dangerous job, followed by Security Officers, Police and Firemen.

Well, it depends on a couple things - what city the taxi driver is in, and where the security guard works - both jobs can be equally dangerous. If the taxi driver is working in some backwoods bucktoothed town, the danger level would be pretty low, and if the security guard is working at a senior citizen home out in the middle of nowhere, the same applies. It's hard to give an accurate answer without more specific details.

Taxi drivers-bar none. Private security officers, with few exceptions, are UNARMED-but trained observers who can avoid facets of dangers within their immediate enviroments.
Taxi drivers, however, are put into an open and unknown dangerous enviroment that exists the second a fare gets in their car: you simply don't know if that fare is criminally insane. Taxi driver risks are per point equal to those assumed by prostitutes.
