I left high school without finishing and now I regret it! I am almost 27 and want to get out of the minimum wage dead end job rut.
What do I do?
I have always had an interest in law and psychology but I do not have years to invest (due to my age)
I am looking at an advanced diploma in criminal justice (2 years full time)
I'm not up with the lingo, do you think this could get me somewhere?

Some schools do offer associates degrees in criminology and or criminal justice. You could always work at police stations/jails as a attendent (guarding the prisoners) and you won't need a degree..work for a while and they will pay you to go to school.. Check with your local jails/courthouses and ask them ..They would know more than we would..we don't know where you live or anything about that area.

Any advanced diploma will get you further than a high school diploma will. Compared to the two years to the years and years ahead of you, I'd say only sparing two years will be worth it. More money the better your life will be. Do something and accomplish it while making yourself feel better. If that question has been bothering you for a time, isn't it worth trying? And if you do try and you end up not liking it, at least you tell yourself that you tried and trying is way better than just thinking about it and not taking the initiative to do it. So my point is, you should try getting an advanced diploma. Much luck.

I think the best thing you can do at this point is get your G.E.D. and I definitely advise pursuing your interest in law and psychology-life goes by fast-take it from me-there is so much I wish I would have done-you still have time but it's not getting any longer-Go for it now!-Good Luck!
