abdelhamidelsayed, what you are saying is very high hopes, but reality here is bitter, more than you can imagine, i dont think that what you are saying is going to happen, not these days at least.
Believe me or not, the "The future is dark" as we egyptian say...Literally.

"Nobody", i see things almost the same way like you do about the country. i agree there is no pros in the matter. however, i read belal fadl in the "dostoor" mag. he's good, but i can't imagine that this man is the same who make those awful movies. "dostoor" mag. is very good in my opinion, although very depressive.

If the position is handed over than it is no longer a presidency it's a dictatorship, it's a kingdom, it's a dynasty whatever you wnat to call it. A position like this cannot be handed to someone because of birth! A position like this has to be earned through hard work and dedication to your country and it's people both rich and poor. Mubarak and his sons do not care about the people of Egypt, they care only for their pocketbooks and bank accounts. The people should have the decision as to who runs their country not a bloodline!

Ah man , why did you have to ask this question?
Now you are going to get me started !!!!
First of all, to the one who was discussing the pros and the cons . What pros ? Are there really good sides for such an evil act of stealth ?
They are simply stealing our country. That guy "Gamal" has no understanding of the feelings and the suffering of the simple people . He doesn't know poverty and he never tasted it . He will be like the queen who wanted to feed her hungry people cake because they couldn't afford the bread.
Look at our country now . Look at how everything is being sold for a cheap price : Omar Effendi, The steal company in the Red Sea, very lately , Amoun for medecines .
My brother , they are business men who care only about how much money they can make .Words like ; the people , the country don't exist in their everyday dictionary.
Now some people may say that there are no efficient leaderships that are able to take over once Mubarak has passed away.
I would say the reason to this is the fact that the president never allowed any one to speak. He made sure that whomever had the courage to express his true opinion , be sent away.
Example :Ayman Nour. Did you know that Talat El sadat is now in prison ? Do u know what his crime is ? Insulting the Armed Forces !!!!
What does that remind you of ? The monarchy ofcourse when everybody was sent to jail for the crime of insulting the King.
People may disagree over Talat Elsadat . But it is more than enough for me that he defended the innocent guy of "Bane Mazar " and that he wanted to beat Ahmad Ezz ;the steal shark, with his shoe right in the parliament.
There is one word from me to you little brother "
Like father , like son.

well i think we became 100% sure that this will happen, our next president is getting prepared, i dont like that actually but let us discuss the pros and cons:
the good thing is that:
-we need new blood, if u know what i mean. a young man may understand what we need more than the very old men that we're used to (cause u know they never leave their comfy chairs).
-the difference between the coming president and the ones we had b4, is that he was raised by extremely wealthy family. so his stomach is full, lets hope he wont ask for more.
the disadvantages are:
-it started to be humiliating to the egyptians, WE ARE NOT A MONARCHY (i have nothing against monarchies, but the fact is that we're not).
-the next president is a very good businessman along with his brother, so we're gonna be like a cake which they will try to eat and fight over it.
to tell u the truth, i'm really scared, and i have a bad feeling about that.
lets all pray for a better future, at least we have the right to pray, dont we?! ;)
mr.abdel hamid u should come to egypt sometime, its gonna break ur heart:(
no-body : we're stuck khalas and we will have to accept it sooner or later, all i meant by the pros is that stuff that relieve us a bit like our saying (a7san el we7sheen) cause we all know that we will never have a "good" president, i'm just trying to be a bit optimistic about a hopless situation.

It depends on whether he is really wiling and able to make a difference. In my own opinion I think he is more knowledgeable, cultured and trained than any other president we would ever get. He will also be less greedy than others I think due to the fact that he never had to worry about poverty and saving for the bad days.
Also although he lived in luxury all his life, he mingled with poor people and regular university students and has an idea of how things are REALLY going on in the country.

This is not anything to do with faith or nationality those persons are simply screaming out for concentration as they have to reside an excessively deficient lifestyles and that is the one technique to get there kicks out of lifestyles. I suppose sorry for them as lifestyles is what you're making it they usually have to have an excessively dull lifestyles. Some in their Q's are simply down proper dull which suggests an excessively deficient average of schooling. Treat their Q's with the contempt they deserve I were following the lead of different consumer and simply answering with a couple of dots ''......'' they do not get my reply and I advantage from two features if all of us did this they could finally quit as no replies coming near near. Come on man's do not permit those man's wind you up given that you're gambling into their fingers

LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE WITH A TRUE DEMOCRATIC ELECTION WITH ALL THE POLITICAL PRISONERS AND I REPEAT ALL THE POLITICAL PRISONERS OUT OF JAIL MANY MONTH BEFORE ELECTION AND ABLE TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION WITH NO FEAR AT ALL OF REPERCUSSION AGAINST THEIR VIEW WITH NO RESTRICTION ON ANY PARTY (SMALL OR BIG). EVERY ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO PRESENT HIS CANDIDACY NO MATTER ABOUT HIS STATUS WITH EXCEPTION TO THE CRIMINALS THIS INCLUDES THE SIMPLE WORKER AS THE OLD POLITICIAN. PRESIDENT SHOULD BE ELECTED ONLY FOR TWO PERIODS. NOT 5 TIME AS WE HAD WITH MUBARAK. LESS POWER TO THE PRESIDENT. MORE POWER TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.GIVING THE EGYPTIANS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES THE POSSIBILITY TO VOTE MUST AND I SAY MUST BE DONE.WE MUST BE FREE FROM ANY ORDER COMING FROM OUTSIDE POWERS AND THIS CAN BE DONE ONLY WITH A TRULY FREE ELECTION. WE MUST BEGIN FROM THESE DAYS EDUCATING THE POPULATION ABOUT THE PROCESS OF ELECTION , IN THE MEDIA , IN THE SCHOOLS , UNIVERSITIES , WORK PLACE, IN THE MOSQUES , IN THE CHURCHES , IN THE FARMS, EVERYWHERE. EVERY ONE SHOULD VOTE , YOUNG AND ADULT , IN THE BIG CITY AND THE SMALLEST VILLAGE LOCATED NOWHERE. THERE MUST BE NO FALSIFICATION, ELECTION DAY MUST BE PAID BY THE EMPLOYER WITH A PROOF OF VOTING.STUDENTS SHOULD ALSO VOTE AND NO ABSENTEE DAY IF THEY PROVE THAT THEY VOTED. AND I AM OPEN TO ALL OTHERS OPINIONS AND ACCEPT THEM.
LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE ARE A CIVILIZED POPULATION NOT AS IT IS SAID EVERY WHERE THAT OUR ELECTION ARE ALL READY DECIDED BEFORE THEY BEGIN.
AND FELLOW EGYPTIANS ANSWER , YOU ALSO THIS QUESTION IN MILLIONS. THANK YOU. AND I AM REALLY ANXIOUS ABOUT THE OTHER ANSWERS AND HOPE TO SEE MANY ANSWERS. AND EGYPT FOR EVER. I AM AN EGYPTIAN LIVING IN USA WHO LIVED 27 YEARS (OF HIS 54) OUTSIDE EGYPT.

it depends if he's really a good person who can fit in being a president and he has the full responsbility for his nation n that he really loves and will protect his country and can manage his stuff then why not....but in our case...maybe the son can fit in this position but i dont like the way that his father or his family plan for him to take this position without the consent of the nation...
i think u're with my opinion...
