communist or Socialist are they the same parties
thats the debate that we are having with friends here

The basic difference is that Communism is a pure political philosophy where the Government controls all the means of production while Capitalism is on the opposite end of the spectrum, where the people own the means of production.

Socialism is the hybrid of Communism and Capitalism. Socialism is essentially Capitalism where the government controls certain industries within the country's marketplace.

Some examples:

Capitalist: United States; Or, more purely, Hong Kong (but not the rest of China).

Socialism: Germany, Norway

Communism: Cuba or China

Communism is a form of Socialism. So, a Communist is also a Socialist, but a Socialist is not necessarily a Communist.

That's basically how it was explained to me by my Government teacher back in high school.

Are you talking about communism & socialism or are you talking about actual political parties? I didn't know there was a communist or a socialist political party in the US. Are you talking about the US?

socialism exist in USA yet we are not communist.
communist can exist in socialism yes.
