I think dems and reps alike all realize it's time for min wage to adjust to the current inflation-it's not really a political issue-it's more common economics-

i'm no longer American, yet hi, a minimum salary determination is strongly appropriate to the time-physique wherein it somewhat is taken. If I considered it incorrect a twelve months in the past it only potential that i replaced into against increasing it at that element. in fact i'm going to have been against expanding it then because of the fact i thought now replaced into going to be a stable time. returned I hate to would desire to be the only to describe the fundamentals, yet a minimum salary advance this is poorly timed, will advance unemployment, or it ends up in "decrease than the table" hiring and consequent unregulated unfavorable working circumstances. If that replaced into no longer the case then shall we only have made minimum wages $80 an hour. Heck, why supply up there, make it $800, or $8000. a guy or woman who desires to be everyday, yet who easily disregards the way forward for the decrease working type, will allways % to advance minimum wages. i'm no longer ruling out the possibility that it somewhat is a populist, vote amassing determination now. yet i'm only saying circumstances substitute rapidly, and there is no longer something inconsistent in from time to time helping a upward push in minimum wages, and from time to time no longer.

Great, now all those teenagers making minimum wage have more money to blow on CDs and clothes and the rest of us foot the bill. That money has to come from somewhere. Businesses will raise prices and freeze raises and new hiring. This has been shown to be the case every time the minimum wage has increased.

EVERY SINGLE ECONOMIC STUDY shows that an increase in minimum wage raises the standards for EVERYONE in the bottom three quin-tiles (Poor, Lower middle class, and middle middle class)

McDonalds doesn't have to raise the price, because more people can afford to buy their food.

It is basic economics. Please, for the love of God, take econ 101 and stop being such a moron!

GET THIS STRAIGHT, EVERY TIME minimum wage goes up, unemployment goes down, the economy improves, and prices don't significantly rise. EVERY TIME. You won't find a single study that proves otherwise. It is a MYTH!!!! I have a degree in economics. There isn't a question amongst the vast majority of economists. It is a political ploy!!!!!!!!!

My ignorant friend, Democrats aren't the real problem here. Pure and simple greed by the grossly wealthy is the real problem. Raising the minimum wage by a few cents won't hurt anyone really. But the greedy bastards running their corporations will use this as an excuse to raise their prices 300%. It happens with the oil companies and it will happen in other sectors of business as long as we put up with this and buy into the lies.

You know the interesting thing is that a higher minimum wage generally means more money is being pumped back into the economy and it usually helps stimulate the economy for the middle class, just thought you may want to know that,

If you raise minimum wage it doesn't raise Social Security benefits but it does raise costs of food and other necessary items.
The Dems in my state want to lower Social Security Benefits and raise minimum wage. Teenagers will be able to buy more video games while the elderly have trouble buying food.

I'm pissed that it passed. Maybe that sounds bad, but in my state, I'm pretty smart to know that EVERYTHING will go up now. My oil changes, the Wal-Mart prices, a car wash, Jack in the Box lunches...
EVERYTHING. EVERy PRICE WILL BE RAISED TO make up for paying a higher wage to employees. gee, that pretty much means they won't get ahead ANYWAY!!!! what the hell were people thinking!!! THEY ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE AND NOT APPROVE A 1/4 OF 1 PERCENT SALES TAX TO INCREASE PUBLIC SAFETY!!!!

seriously, i think i'm more pissed about this than dems taking the house.

okay okay, at least I still live in a red state
