I was reading the answers to a question for sauce stained containers. I am sorry if you put bleach in a container that has pores and you are putting your food in the same container you are putting bleach into your food! YUK!!! I was a Tupperware dealer at one time. This is what I did to get the staines out. take baking soda and water make a paste rub or scrub it into the stain, let it set for about 15mins. to 1/2 hr (in the sun if possible.) it may not get all the stain out but atleast you are not eating bleach!!! You may have to try it again. If you have a smelly container take news paper black & white (no colored) roll it up into a ball put the lid on and let sit for a day when you open it up the smell should be gone. The newspaper obsorbs the smell. Then was the container.

If you have city water and cook, wash dishes, bath, brush your teeth, drink it, then you are putting bleach everywhere. City water has clorine in it. Sometimes ppl even add bleach to their dishwater to kill germs. Alot of detergents for dishwashers have bleach in them to clean and kill germs.
I don`t think bleach will harm anyone if they soak their plactics in it.
I would rather know that all the germs are killed and if you rinse good in hot water then all will be removed.

Have a blessed day.
