Bush did say that. His exact words were "But hey! says George, we didn't invade Iraq to steal their oil. We had to invade to stop the bad guys from stealing their oil!" If you don't believe me then go and see for yourself.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just telling you what I have heard. Even Rush Limbaugh has commented on what Bush has said.

Your right he did admit it.....he says we can't leave the oil to the terriorists. Well Mr.Bush it was their oil in the first place who are we to take from their country?!?!?! Not to mention Mr bush has stock in the oil people...yes he is lining his pocket with money that he makes from the oil. Not a surprise this war is really about making money for all those jerks in the White House and their buddies. Maybe the rest of the people will open their eyes now to the truth!!! Then again the Bush followers ignore all the things he says to prove things like this. Strange people!!!

you notice there's a difficulty inclusive of your question. at the start the grammar police might close down your question. Secondly you have no longer any components for the claims you're pretending that are well-known understanding. The dying toll decrease than the reign of Saddam (which lasted around 8000 days) replaced right into a coarse estimate of six hundred 000. The Kurdish inhabitants makes up a pair of million/6 of those. the different 500k are fatalities from the war with Iran that has been perceived as all yet ineffective. the fact of the difficulty is, i'm no longer likely to waste an knowledgeable opinion on a query that lacks lots reason in the back of it i'm surprised you at the instant are not a cow lining as much as be butchered. The worst part of all of this... Is which you have the marvelous to vote. Be an activist and rally the the remainder of the politically uneducated, the place emotion is the driving rigidity in the back of your argument.

Managing Iraq's Petroleum
In April 2006, Iraq Revenue Watch hosted a workshop which brought together leading petroleum experts, activists, economists and policy makers from across Iraq's regions and political spectrum. Topics covered at the workshop included the need for clarifications and potential changes to the Constitution, discussion of a national strategy for exploration and development, designing a sound investment regime, and establishing unassailable legislation and efficient institutions. This report details the outcomes of the workshop.
Geographical Distribution of Iraqi Oil Fields and Its Relation with the New Constitution
Iraq's new Constitution has transferred managerial responsibility for new oil operations to the regions and provinces, and allowed them to take part in the production operations management of current fields. It has thus become necessary to accurately determine the geographical distribution of hydrocarbon wealth. This May 2006 report aims to illustrate the geographic distribution of Iraqi oil and gas fields according to provinces, and to show how this would reflect on these fields’ management following the new Constitution.

"... they [the terrorists] will be in a position to use oil as a tool to blackmail the West. People say, 'What do you mean by that?' I say, 'If they control oil resources, then say they pull oil off the market in order to run the price up, and they will do so unless we abandon Israel, for example, or unless we abandon allies.'" -Bush
The quotes on that site are accurate. Whether they mean the war was for oil can be left up to your interpretation. People really should bother to look up things for themselves instead of immediately dismissing them because the source is biased. One thing I've learned from answers is that when you link a site, make sure its a neutral, or even opposing, site otherwise people will just use that as an excuse to avoid addressing the issue you raised.

Iraq war is for Oil & Power.
And the stupid people here say then why we do not get oil from Iraq so that the prices go down.
This Oil industry war is not for American but only for American Energy Sector Corporations such as Bush & CO, Cronies & Friends. Top 0.05% Cream.

If you read the entire quote in context thats not what it says but I grow weary of arguing with fools so being American you are free to believe what you want.
The Iraq war is about democracy and freedom and taking international criminals out of circulation. Aren't all of you going to be disapointed when you find out that putting Dems in office doesn't change any of the stuff you're complaining about.

"Page could not be found"
"Stopping others from stealing their oil" does not mean that he wants it. I am sure the term was used to illustrate a point.

doubtful... the one an only reason we attacked iraq is the USA needed a scapegoat to get our minds off 9-11, and make it look like we are attacking a threat to us.
