The conservatives screwed themselves on this election. I know they're supposed to be pro business, but spending hundreds of billions on Iraq is not fiscally responsible. Bush can veto any tax increases if he wants to anyway.

I'm sure it won't be any worse than that of the rep's that are running it now.
What do ya' think? Maybe it will be for the people, the environment, the future generation, etc.?
We shall see.

I am beginning to wonder if any of them are in it actually for "the people" or just for their big egos?

I don't necessarily want a party that is united on bad ideas, I want all of them to work toward what is best for the country as a whole. Not just their pocketbooks or egos.

And yes, I am voting dem because I am not happy with Bush at all. It has nothing to do with Michael Moore.

Bush has been like a finger pointing parent saying "cuz I said so, that's why! I am right! How dare you question me?"

Apparantly I am not the only one that is dissatisfied.
The country has spoken. Hopefully the representatives in office will listen, no matter what party.
I am pretty fed up with all of them!!!

To a great volume, the states are identifying. notwithstanding if somebody theoretically won the very almost 800 great-delegate votes, they had nonetheless % the 1200 unusual votes from states to guard the nomination. The great-delegate equipment replaced into carried out as a manner for Democratic party leaders to keep some administration, and however they'd swap returned and forth, interior the top they'll maximum possibly lean in the direction of the best activity of the folk (i.e. the peoples votes) because of the fact they does no longer % to possibility dividing the party.

I do find it amazing. What are they trying to accomplish? I may as well flush my money down the toilet.

The stock market and capital markets will not be too happy. Look for higher taxes on corps. and a gradual drag on the economy. Like a tanker turning itself around, this will take some time before the economy gets grounded in any way. The Dems are best off if they just leave things alone and stop intervening. Government interference is not the answer.

First... I want you to cite the times that raising taxes has ruined America... they have been raised many times... yet America is still here? (same for raising minimum wage... how about opening up a book once in a while)

second, the people who voted understand one thing... that thing is there are more imporant things than a possible tax increase...

maybe when Republicans care about America more than how much money they get to keep... people will start voting for them again?

who were the ones using all the money in the first place? Republicans and their Iraq War strategies! That is what causes taxes to be raised.

Hurt the economy? It has been hurt all the time Bush has been in office.

Well if you are in the middle class your taxes will be lower, the only ones who have to worry about higher taxes are the upper ten percent Bush has protected.

Our Republican President has done more damage to us and our future children and grandchildren by turning Fort Knox over to the rich than any Democrat could possibly do in our lifetime by raising a few taxes.

You and I and our children and grandchildren will be paying for the welfare giveaway to the rich for the next thirty years.

Democrats hate the US and everything it does.
The Democrats are like a black guy who joins
the KKK. Nancy Pelosi hates the military and
hates America. She hates all white and Jewish
and Asian people of every country.

EDIT:
To the moron above me... higher taxes do not pay
for such noble efforts. Communism has always
shown that redistribution of wealth, rather than creating
wealth or a large middle class, instead makes everyone
poor and drives societal discretionary spending to ZERO!
Wait until you grow some pubes and you will start to
understand the real world!

They don't seem to care as long as it is not THEIR money that is being spent. I don't see a lot of democrats out their quietly writing checks to their favorite causes. I often see them in front of a tv camera telling us how the government should take OUR money to support those causes.
Honestly, they can do plenty to hurt our economy. I just hope Bush has the backbone to use that veto power.
