i went shopping yesterday and just found out the girl forgot to remove the security device that's attached on one of the shirts! is there anyways that i can remove it by myself? beccause i really don't want to take another trip back to the store, which is like 17 miles away. thanks!

sure, you can prize them off with effort but I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of them are filled with ink so that if you try to take it off to get away with it when you are in the store, it will spoil the garment, this happend to me once though and the shop I got it from was a long way so I went to another store close by (not related) and explained the situation and said they can call the store for varification that I purchased it - either that or bring your receipt and I had it removed there, the majority of tag removers are universal.

If it's just a plain plastic rectangle one, you can yank it off if you pull really hard or use some pliers. However, if it's a shirt most likely it will leave a small hole that you could sew back together. It's up to you. If it's a big bulky security device made of anything besides the cheapy plastic, most likely you'll have to go back to the store.

Unfortunally there is no way you can remove it yourself. If you try doing it on your own you will rip your shirt. Many store will asked you to present your receipt in order for them to remove it for you. This is due to many shoplifter that store encounter. They want to make sure you didn't steal the shirt. Just curious...when you purchased the shirt and walk out shouldn't it beep?

No Way. It will leave a permanent ink stain. Take your receipt and the shirt with you the next time you go shopping.

It's designed so that if you tamper with it, that ink will spill on the shirt, marking it as stolen. I don't know anyone who got one off on their own.
You need to take it back to the store or swallow the cost.
