Both of these are on my reading list for the winter. I was just wondering if one is better to read before the other and why?

The Odyssey is the story of a man's journey home after the events that happened in the Iliad.
So I'd read the Iliad first - then the Odyssey will make more sense to you.

The Illiad is first. It will make far more sense if you read about the war before you read about the journey home from it.

Odessy is based off of Iliad...so go w/ illiad...=D
